MMIW High Top Sneakers — Native Dreamcatcher Portrait Design
Every step matters when you're walking for someone who can't.
MMIW — Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women — is not a slogan to me. It's sisters, daughters, mothers, aunties. Women from communities like mine, with Indigenous roots running deep, whose stories ended too soon and whose families are still waiting for answers. I made these sneakers so we carry that remembrance with us — literally, with every step we take.
The dreamcatcher portrait holds both grief and hope: grief for the ones we've lost, and hope that we keep saying their names and keep raising awareness until no more go missing. These aren't just shoes. They're a promise to walk loudly, visibly, and together.
Wear them to the marches, the vigils, the everyday moments — because awareness doesn't get a day off. Every pair is a conversation started, a name remembered, a step toward justice.
For the walkers, the rememberers, and everyone who refuses to look away.
